It's just a shame because it markets itself as a slow paced tactical realistic shooter but the AI snapshooting, some of the balancing rules, and some other stuff just give me the opposite feeling
I like the game but man there are some shortcomings
But, you can also use lasers to aim if you have things like an ACOG/LPVO, or are using a promask.
I was looking for someone who knows what they're talking about, granted he's not prior Military or LEO. He does break it down how somebody would who was prior Military/LEO, it's just not practical to try and line up two tubes together fast and effectively. Using the same fundamentals with the weapon minus aiming down the sight and aiming with an IR laser instead is a lot better.
If I'm using some kind of reflex sight or holographic that is way far down the gun then I should be able to use nods but if I'm using an actual scope or an ACOG or something then I could understand. It's just goofy when I take a long weapon and visually the optic is way far away from me to the point where if I just held the weapon at regular distance I could obviously see down the sight
Yeah, it's a weak argument. People that make the argument that they can look through NOD's and ADS a red dot have never done it or have no experience trying to do it. Yeah maybe you can but you can't acquire a target fast doing it. This game is close quarters, using the NOD's with an IR laser is a lot more effective. For snipers you can mount a thermal or night vision device in front of an optic but trying to ADS a red dot in a close quarters environment with NOD's doesn't make sense.
If aiming down any optic or red dot was impossible than every serious optic wouldn't make NVG support a priority and have a mode for it. Doesn't mean it's always ideal but it isn't impossible and certainly isn't never useful.
