anyone when the lights get turned off not able to see literally anything? like i genuinely cant even tell where walls are or where im aiming. watching my friend play and even with his lights off he can still see somewhat but its like my screen is totally black.

It's totally black for me aswell. only turn off the light if everyone sports a nvg

yeah but it shouldnt be this dark. my friends can all see fine yet i cant even see a wall 1m in front of me. i dont understand it, i have high contrast and brightness on my monitor

High contrast is your issue. The higher the contrast, the darker the shadows. Brightness whitens darker areas.

It's all about your monitor and color-accuracy, black levels, contrast ratios, etc.

on low graphics its easier to see. also you can adjust your monitor to see better.

lower your shadow settings, high and above makes the shadows very rich, but also almost pitch black. Medium and low makes it much easier to see, I had to do this and it's made spotting enemies much easier and honestly the shadows aren't that much worse.

Hope the devs add an actual brightness setting at some point so I don't need to roll with NVG's 24/7 when I'm on high settings

Yeah the lighting needs to be redone. It's like pitch black on my screen unless I use night vision or a flashlight even in a lit room it still is kind of dark

This is a realistic tactical shooter and there is no need to simplify it. We need to add more darkness. Operators have NVG, flares and flashlights. The people already suggested setting up the graphics so that pitch darkness is preserved at any settings.

While I see night like day, my partner sees 2m far with her flashlight.
Has nothing to do with "tactical".
