If no one joins you in co-op, do you have AI teammates? or it's like Lone Wolf of Rainbow 6?
Bought the game to support them. I don't mind paying $40 or even $50 or even $60 for the promise of a great game like SWAT4/R6
Let's see how it is.
1. Slick menu and loading screen.
2. Turning is absolutely bad. It takes 10+ seconds to turn around. What?
3. Playing solo - there's a needless wait for something before I can hit start. Is that loading screen?
4. Where's the aiming reticule? Cross-hair? Kinda crazy to have a game without it. Please add it.
5. graphics are top notch
6. char movement is super super slow and clunky
7. couldn't find rate of fire. I like to have 1 bullet mode
8. very very few weapons. Must focus on that
Overall, great start with several basic flaws but has promise.
2 things will make it killer -
1. Mission Editor so people can work wonders and increase game longevity
2. Mod capability so people can create all the weapons/maps/missions etc.
And definitely improve the game speed so the gameplay is not turtle speed.
These are basic to any game.
First of all, thanks for supporting have the save thoughts on that as you, but here are some informations on that:
Yeah it's slow paced, and sometimes clunky, but you can get used to it and the slower movement is for sure one of the main thing in this game, and it's needed at all.. Rate of fire is one of the next things they will add with Update 4 + new animations n stuff, so this means some of the clunkys will be fixed at all.
If you looking for some ppl for coop actions, feel free to add me :) got some guys, and it's a blast t play with ppl, communicate ingame and maybe unlock the newer maps.
For 2 turning - I meant char turning around. I don't think it is my mouse sensitivity issue. When I need to look behind or left or right I move my mouse to swing my char to that direction. This is taking a lot more mouse movement as the char slowly seems to turn to that direction.
For 3, I wasn't clear. I meant after it is all loaded, there's a needless 30s wait to plan and 30s join game which is a waste of time for SP. Should be disabled.
Few more things
1. The night vision is not that good and it is quite irritating to use. Can the intensity be reduced so it's not just a white screen when engaged with no light pollution around.
2. Why can't we control the Grenade arc swing?
3. CROSS HAIRS are a MUST (aiming reticule). An option for us who want it makes sense. Others can turn it off.
4. The whole point system for SP seems needless. I need 80 pts for the 2nd map but I got 23 for first map and then 15 but it didn't stack. I just have 23 total so it will take a lot of retries to get the map cleared given there's 23 enemies and they can all single shot you.
The game env is also bereft of a lot of things that made SWAT feel so alive. Rooms are mostly barren and cookie cutter.
Overall, I don't know if this game is more SWAT or more Rainbow Six (both are awesome) but it feels like it's kinda between the 2 with a tilt towards SWAT.
I paid for Ready or Not like 6 months ago and no word on what's going on with that game (SWAT4 clone) but perhaps this game can fully develop into a true SWAT 5 with a LOT of development (at the current rate, I'd reckon, maybe 3 more years at min)
I accidentally hit the melee punch and I got one shotted.
Why can't you fire with a shield like in Rainbow Six? What's the point of a defensive shield on its own?
You also don't have silenced weapons, don't have stun/flash grenades.
And there's way too many enemies for 1 person to clear even one map. This game is punishing brutal difficulty like the other game - Takedown: Red Sabre where I couldn't even get past 1 mission. 1. Even tried with co-op strangers and no go.
Some games are just poorly made and I'm wondering if this game is that way. Good graphics and promise but underneath the covers it is all junk
Using the gun I managed to take most of them out with this method - walk up to them, absorb the bullets on the shield till they reload. Then shoot them with the gun.
I ran out of bullets and then I just walked up to them and Melee'd them easily. Made is quite easy with this method actually.
No one really flanks you albeit strangely they can easily see you in pitch darkness which needs to be fixed.
Started the 2nd mission but it is again the same dark night map. Aren't there any cheerful bright maps?
Thank you for the feedback. Regarding the point 4, it means that the SP mode is a points system where you cannot move on to the next level/map without finishing the first level with a given quantity of points ?
Was about to buy but if I have to endlessly play the same level waiting to be able to reach the mandatory quantity of points to move on, then that will be boring for sure. Thank you for the confirmation.
