Fused Elemental Core's 2nd stage is the worst boss so far.

His combat loop is confusing and annoying to me.

It's not confusing and so it's not the worst. You can soul shield its big spell to throw it back at them, and you just need to pay attention at its little water and fire puddles because it will make them explode soon after. It's pretty simple boss actually compared to some other because he doesn't move that much.

I agree. Up to that point his second phase was the worst in the game. They do that a few times btw, they make the first phase fun and the second one ♥♥♥♥♥.

This, then there's Tiamat. If you don't git gud at sould shielding you're going to get filtered by Tiamat.

What does Tiamat do that requires soul shielding?

Also how hard is soul shielding that you have to git gud at it and even the purpose of a boss is to skill check it? At best it is a reminder that it exists. It's just an easy block you can't spam.

You can destroy this boss and the Black Knight by using a gun and shooting them from afar. Neither can close the distance fast enough to stop this bs safe strategy.

i just did tiamat last night and soul shielding wasn't required nor a huge game changer. I just went paladin with greatsword and mashed away. So far this game on hard is laughably easy compared to nioh or wo long. The game is very mash friendly and encourages you to abuse stun loops.
