Also a pass is easier to purchase then purchasing everything individual. You pay one time, and all content included in the pass will be automatic added to your game when released.
I usually don't buy expansion passes but StarDock has earned my trust so I'm happy to pay for a pass if it helps fund future content. Also its worth pointing out that they have a great reputation of providing free support updates to their titles regardless of payed expansion and well beyond the release date (I believe GC3 got a big patch this April).
I hope so, there were 17K people playing Stellaris last night. It's more than 7 years old. Looking forward to the DLC personally.
Pay $40.00 now and get every future planned expansion and DLC at the substantial discount OR pay almost 80.00 later after the special discount ends.
It's not rocket science.
Excluding that it is just for those DLC's listed(like a Year pass) and if it works more/many more will follow, I agree. Like others said, it's a "give to you, give to me" situation. Stardock needs the funding and the package to sell well, so it's on a massive discount. They will use the funds and see how well it sells to make more in the future and keep working at it, by hiring or keeping in their payroll personnel attached to it. There will also be free content and DLC's for it as they've said
If it doesn't, it will be a "both lose" situation. We'll not get some of the innovations we want and need and so much content(I believe there will still be some) and the purchasable DLC will be fewer or stay limited to the Expansion/Year pass even.
It's for each user to see if they'd like to contribute to the companies gaming efforts and innovations they offer to the genre or give them more incentive to return to their Windows improvements suite and Ashampoo colabs.
I bought it asap(2nd day for this EP), cause it's the most innovative product of its genre imo.
Exactly, it's about supporting the developers. I plan to buy my pass some time next month when I can budget it in.
