painfully slow zoom speed

Hi,

playing the game after a longer pause (around release of warlords) and it seems the zoom speed, especially zooming in, seems to have been slowed down and i don't see a way to increase the speed.

i tried several game options including camera scroll speed option but nothing increases the speed for zooming in.

while the zooming out speed could be slightly increased, the speed to zoom in is taking more than double the time to zoom out and is really annoying.

i don't remember it being like that back then and i don't see a reason why we shouldn't have a speed option for that.

any quick way to fix that?

EDIT: i should mention that i played the insiders build right now, but it seems to be this case in the live build as well as the insider build.

There are a few threads about the issue here, some dating back to early 2023, and I've never seen anyone reply with a fix. Maybe it's an isolated hardware-specific thing.

Unfortunately the only quick fix I found was using the keyboard to zoom instead, but ultimately I just stopped trying to play.

I for one would be very appreciative of that. :)

Keep in mind though that people with this issue get really slow speed zooming in, but zooming out seems to be 2x that speed (unsure if that's by design).

At this point even an option in an ini file would be enough

It's not really a setting issue more like the zoom in is much slower than zooming out. I've shared a video with the dev team on this.

Please keep us posted. It's been an issue for 2 years, maybe 2025 we get lucky! :)

I hope this is in the big new patch, because its reaaally painful to play a game with such low zoom speed
