AI species generation is a joke

It is not AI. It gives pre generated images that have nothing to do with descritions. "Amphibious" results in pics of mice and cats or elves like every other inquiry no matter what you ask for. And it does not change image of your citizens. I am thinking about refunding this game just based on that, before even playing as it gives me glimpse to what to expect.

I feel as if you did not understand how/why it works. It's not an AI that has scanned the Internet, it is built off of IP and art belonging to the people at Stardock.

Also, you can literally use any images you want and it does AI gen text and flavor based on choices and single line descriptors.

But, I agree that the game may not be for you. It's frustrating until you learn it or cheese it and many do not like that level of challenge.

I just tried the "Amphibious" and got five frogs, a frogish robot(!), and three humanoids. Can you share a screenshot of what you're seeing?

Also, the system uses biology, cultural affinity, etc., to pick the images as well. It's possible the combination you picked was not ideal for Amphibians.

Seemed like a gimmick from the start.The base stock races are so well developed I don't know they tried to market this on the streams.

I personally like what the ai does, but then I watched videos videos by DasTactics and Quill 18 so I knew how it worked and what to expect. They love the game, I love it. You didn't watch a video so you created expectations. Next time take a look at how things work and then decide if a games for you.

Too great a risk for business for non-curated images being out public by so call AI itself.

Funny I should happen upon this. I created my own frog race and love the AI generator. Its actually very well done. My guess is you did not select the button to tell it to look for more images. My generated race did not have a frog image on the first screen it provided but upon selecting the option, it found several frogs in freaking space suits. Pretty good IMO

It's been hit or miss for me. The text generation is near perfect, but the images sometimes make no sense. I put in "robot wolves" and got a bunch of crabs. I did hit on a couple of robotic dogs eventually, which worked.

I'll try again in the morning with a lighter load to see if I get what I want, but it doesn't seem bad thus far.
