Crashing and no fix found

So I've return back to the game, and the game crashes when I change the graphics settings and when I start a mission. I've already followed all the suggested fixes (disable game overlay, ctrl+alt+del during game startup, etc), and it hasn't fix anything. Weirdly enough, when I play the online versus game, it can run, I can change the settings there. It is only affecting the main game itself.

Anyone else having the same problem?

Windows 10 builds are the problem. Some wont even make it to the UI.

A list of stuff I have ran into using different builds since I have been supporting this game on my youtube channel for some time and wanted to find all the most common workarounds.

You will possibly need borderless gaming (Not free) on some windows 10 builds for the game to work properly. Otherwise the what looks like DRM will prevent you from running the game on your actual screen where it will just run in the background.

If you cant set the maximum graphics settings without crashing which is caused by some windows 10 builds this is the workaround. Rename the games executable by adding (The space is important) " -dxlevel 93" to end so it looks just like this: splintercell -dxlevel 93. YOU ALSO MUST LAUNCH THE GAME FROM THE GAMES FOLDER NOT STEAM.

The following was true on my previous build and driver combo and is likely a very common problem on numerous machines that will not always show up. THE BORDERLESS GAMING OPTION FOR THE GAME MUST BE LITERALLY INTERFACED WITH WHILE OPENING MOVIES PLAY EVERYTIME THE GAME BEGINS or it will with a high probability crash. Do this three times and make sure you select every generated name the game will make ranging from:
splintercell3
splintercell3 (it might have multiple instances)
splintercell -dxlevel 93
splintercell

At this point you should restart your PC to prevent this behavior of unlimited new instances from happening. On restarting the machine it will toggle back and forth at random showing either just "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory" or both that and "splintercell -dxlevel 93". If it shows both its not going to work. If it just shows "Tom Clancy's..." it should work. It however can still crash, its just unlikely. Sometimes it might not work at all and you must restart your PC. Sometimes the game can start but wont open by just clicking it, so kill the game instance and try again.

Max out the graphics except the in game antialiasing. This may save or it might not save, its random on some builds of windows 10 whereas some are stable. If you get weird glitching where the game has some sort of frame stuck semi transparently as you play, simply change the resolution to fix it. This problem will only happen for people playing under 1080 particularly if choosing it before the actual playable level is compiled.

Shader model 3.0 does not work under dx9 dg voodoo.

In at least one scene there is a faint shadowy artifact around sam near the first starting light source as it renders around sam that cannot be fixed with emulating different hardware, however on another build and different nvidia driver disappeared.

Trying to force higher rez in DG Voodoo, with DSR, or inspector does nothing except override the in game resolution up to 1080, or possibly invites more bugs. Trying to use a widescreen mod preserves DX9 shaders but breaks reshade no matter what because the dx9.dll cant be duplicated.
