Mission: Bank

I've learnt how to do this mission without alerting anyone to any real suspicion. No knock-outs. Nothing but the computers hacked. And I know I can hack the painting safe to get the gold bar, and I can turn the sprinklers on, and I can disable all of the CCTV security footage.

The questions I have are:
1) Is the code for the safe with the gold bar anywhere to be found?
2) Is there an advantage to turning on the sprinkler system in the vault?
3) Is there any real advantage to turning off the cameras given how few there are, and that they always seem to be easy to temp disable with my pistol?

You lost me with the gold bar, I've been playing SCCT the same way for years, (only completing objectives) and don't remember said safe?

2. Again playing same way for yrs, not sure about sprinklers, I always speed tapped all items, may have something to do with damaging all the electronics and maybe washing away all instance of Sam.
3. I haven't turned them off in close to 18 yrs.

This is my version of the Bank, maybe give you some ideas

There’s a gold bar in a secret safe behind a painting in the upstairs office, just outside the server room with two guards and a ceiling fan where you can disable the cameras.
You drop down from said room into a closed off courtyard.

07:05 on your video for getting the gold bar, as you go I to that room first painting on your left.

I can’t stand the guards with the lasers, going up the side of the building using the pipe work is a lot less annoying.

K, knew about the duct, (used that access once, but adds time to mission), never ever would have thought to take time to explore the office. We're talking about the passcode office right, just past the server room? I always thought it as a 2nd fl security station. I was always afraid of the guard returning to said office and or the 2nd office, with access computer and 2nd vault button.

Crap I forgot about that access point, but that also adds time and backtracking to the 1st floor yeah?

The way I do the level is, up the ladder, down to lasers, disable, reception computer, then back, left hand door, past the toilets and remote hack computer, up to first floor, hack computer, back down, into toilets, through the vent, ground floor office, hit the safe card, through the vent, up the drain, through the vent and past the fan, hack computers and disable the cctv archives, hit the safe card, presidents office, hack wall safe to fry bar, hack computer, last safe card- safe opens, go outside (throwing the gold bar as necessary), drop down, go through vent back into the office, past security office remote hacking the computer, and the rest is the same, with the random optional sprinklers in the safe that appear to do nothing. You can extract with the gold bar. Which again seems to do nothing?

With all that extra work, is there a game value to acquiring the gold bar or the effort to toss it in the woods instead of keeping it?
I'm currently playing and recording the Xbox version of SCDA, but taking a break at Kinshasa, when I get done with DA I'm going back to SC1 and try to get the gold bar

That’s what my question is. I play on PC only these days at the moment but I assume it isn’t dramatically different in the Xbox version?

Regarding the 2001 X, it isn't different, although the PC version has much better graphics. My X died early 2018, so the vids I made of SC1 and SCCT are Steam's PC versions.

I struggled playing it keyboard/mouse and could not figure out how to get the Windows 10 game controller to mirror the 2001 X controller without changing to much junk making it too complicated. Multiple cams was a major aspect in ghosting the Boiler room at end of the Bathhouse, so I never completed Bathhouse

I got a shiny new Series X late last year and have made vids of SCPT and in the process of completing SCDA. Even though the OG X CDs are being used I am noticing differences between the 2001 and the 2021 X versions, without much technical knowledge, I'm leaning toward the upgrade in graphics quality. It appears Sam is exposed in areas of the game that had him completely invisible in the 2001 X

The code to the safe is 1015 as noted in the wiki. Don't know what event it celebrates, since in Seoul the code to the later blasted door in the NDT is 0815 which's the National Liberation Day of Korea.

For the sprinklers I first thought it would serve as a way to electrocute all the rushing guards in case players trigger the vault alarm, but the puddles, though pretty obvious, seem to do nothing.

Ah I didn't think to look up a wiki.
"The President's office has a secret safe hidden behind a painting, however it can be hacked. The secret code is 1015 and it is possible to learn only manually. Inside is a gold bar bearing some unreadable inscriptions."
Shame it doesn't mention any advantages etc. for the gold bar or sprinklers :( .

I never tried to open the door in the Seoul server room, I always hid behind the stacks to avoid blast damage when they breached then snuck out with the disc.
What did you do, hack the door before retrieving the disc?

It can save some time needed to wait the dialogue before they detonate the charge, by throwing a smoke then hack the panel/enter the code and get the disk. Not the case if you enter via the vent.

OK now I'm really confused I didn't know there were 2 ways into the building the server room is in. I always entered via the exterior 2nd floor air duct above and to the right of comms truck #1. How the heck do you get into the building?

There is pipe you can grab in the burning room that seems to be inaccessible. Hard to notice for all the flames and smoke there. I missed that in my first playthrough.
