The first is the same mistake they always make, which is people in their home countries speaking English, usually with an unbelievably fake accent. I never know if I should find it hilariously stupid, racist, or both?
The second is, in that mission, you absolutely should have been able instead to change the message to be an anti-North Korean message. A really hammed up bit of voice acting would have been beautiful from one of the analysts voices.
I think it's neither. It's a dub for English speaking players that do not care for immersion or accuracy. Yet, some of them often go to the forums and complain that their English version of the game has English in it.
That's actually freaking funny to me because there seems to be no consensus to what you said about the English voices. I can't help but cringe any time someone brings it up. Because, you know, in Pandora Tomorrow, the actors read the lines in their own voices (mostly Canadian but some American) and it seems that most of people think this is actually racist to have characters speak plain english without accents.
With my old 2001 X I used -0- rnds and only used the OCP 2 times, most times only once. With the Steam PC version I was forced to use 1 rnd on the final neon sign where you target the jet.
I recently watched someones vid and the player did shoot a speaker. My MO is to try to play it as realistic as possible under the game world circumstances, the impact noise of a rnd hitting an object/speaker is too much noise.
My opinion,
As for English being used by foreigners in the game, it would be nice to have the spoken language of origin, but I'm thinking they defaulted with English for most of us to make it easier to sync our maneuvers to the BGs dialog.
It's the dim room with the staging, generator at the bottom of the empty pool and 2 patrolling BGs right?
I head right out of the bathroom, thru pool rm#1 thru the massage room, thru pool rm#2 with a steam valve, through the hlwy with the redman mopping the floor to said phone line and out undetected.
I operate under the assumption that the AI is wired and like most militarized operators make regular comm checks, (realistically chaos would ensue when a patrol doesn't answer a check). When I have to KO, I sometimes use sticky cams when I can't get close enough for a grab and drag, they're endless ammo and allows me to police my brass. I'm sure this is why I don't have thousands of hits on my vids.
Correct, in the game, once you get a certain distance from the AI, they freeze in position, verified by entering virtual map. The closer AI continue moving. However, ever notice if and when you do leave a body exposed, you can be outside that freeze line and here a body found alert and or get the notice at end of game stats.
