But I lean away from shockers, the target makes too much noise flopping around and drops like a rock.
SCCT has 3 objective kills and 3 objective KOs, any other KO or kill is superfluous.
I likely mentioned this in one of our prior convos, if you'd rather KO an AI and do it from a distance to cut time or whatever, you can target the head with sticky cams. If you're able to choose your point of attack you can have much more control of the SCs rebound so the cam can be quickly retrieved and reused.
I don't use them for that in SCCT but I did KO 3 BGs in SC1, 2 in Kalinatek and 1 in Abattoir. It's been so long since I played PT and DA I can't remember if I did and or how many times used if I did.
The reason I don't usually use cams is because having to aim for a headshot is too much of a risk, but I might do it early on in a level to save foils/shockers for later more difficult areas
This is kind of irrelevant in SC1/PT where foils are gimped compared to CT, meaning cams get used more by me since there's not as much benefit to foils, and since they can be reacquired they become more valuable than foils in the early games
But also, since there isn't an ending screen stats display like in CT I usually don't bother going non-lethal in those games. The levels are less conducive to "slicking" and at least in my brain I find no way to get by some bits without causing some kind of nuisance
As for the game's stickies unlike the foil they're stuck on the body but you aren't able to retrieve them, that's traceable evidence. The foil makes contact then busts up on the rebound, I've followed rebounds to the floor and never found one.
However the foil is good for minimizing KOs, if the target is hit just above the waist and from the front or back the victim is stunned and wobbles for 5 to 6 secs before coming to senses. If target is hit just above the waist from his 6, depending on the situation and cover it can give Sam an exit without ID, the target never follows up. As mentioned the SC is retrievable.
You should practice using SCs on everyone in the practice mission to learn how to aim from varying distances, it isn't as difficult as you may assume.
Agree bummer no end stats in SC and SCPT but if you're paying attention and hear no alert sounds when completing a stun it's safe to assume you're clear.
Really Really Big Time Wrong Hoss! There's tonza slicking going on in SC1,
SC1 v 1.1
They begin at 3:36 the best one begins at 8:00 and ends at 8:55.
The rest of the missions including the xpacs have many slicks that work in both versions, (team PC and OG X). However the SC1 videos are from the Steam PC version so, the hides and slicks from the OG X that don't work are excluded.
It's not that cams are hard per se it's just that foils are more dependable. Cams love to bounce off a dudes head at point blank range and do nothing. At least the foil would daze him if it didn't manage a KO
I'm not saying you can't slick in SC1, just that it's not as conducive to it. CT seems more designed with that in mind, most guard paths lead them away from others and makes them easy to whittle down, and the OCP makes lights trivial to deal with
Maybe you're just better at the game than me, IDK. Some of the things I tried years ago like the double jumps on Kalinatek and CIA HQ (which I never heard of anyone doing, it was just intuitive to me to try to do it) didn't work. Maybe I wasn't hitting the right spot but at the time I assumed they had invisible walls or something
