Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory

Button For Walk?
Instead of using mouse wheel, is there a button to instantly walk as much as it takes to be silent as a key?

No, just use the scroll man. That's the problem with Conviction and Blacklist: Only walk and run. CT and DA have the perfect movement

The perfect movement if you have a controller maybe. Personally I cannot stand to play this game with the mouse wheel doing the way it does, and since there's no native controller support (which makes sense since it was before the Xbox 360) for newer controllers, I guess I'll never play good Splinter Cell's.

I'd assume Double Agent would since it's newer than Chaos, but you never know anyway. I'll give it a shot. Thanks for telling me!

it may be worth noting...
1. the ps4 controller requires an 360 controller emulator
2. i just tried it with splinter cell 2002, works like a charm with a few .ini changes

oh and that the ps4 controller isnt set as a controller, im using it as a keyboard emulator. if you need an explination look up ds4 windows
Thanks, I'm using an Xbox One controller so maybe it'll work better. The tweaks for the original, were they changes to get the PS4 working or should I do it as well?

for the .ini tweaks, you will have to do it aswell. im not sure about how the xb1 controller works with pc or if you will need an emulator.

It works exactly the same as the Xbox 360. Just get a little dongle and then the PC registers it.

Game sucks on controller... :steamfacepalm: Keyboard is very precise with your movement speed.
i find it really precise and actually very smooth

Game works with Xbox 360 & Xbox One controllers. It still doesn't detect triggers for some reason.

Easy workaround is to remap the controller, triggers to bumpers & remap the rest. You might need to drop the opsat (start) & re-open camera button (down-dpad) & use the keyboard for that.

Movement speed with the controller feels more intuitive and plays better. Besides, its a slow paced game, aiming and accuracy is not a big factor.

I think it's better on keyboard and mouse, the movement is way better and you can control all the variable speeds easier, and aimming for OCPs is a lot easier. Aiming and accuracy might not be a big factor, but movement is, and it's better on keyboard in my opinion. I played Xbox way longer than PC, and started PC in 2012, and I prefer PC now.
To each their own, I agree with Harbi. Controllers way more fluid imo, but hey, whatever works best for you!
