I'm unable to record the conversation between the 2 men in the small glassed wall room to get Neditch name any help

Press 1 for zooming in - then hold the crosshair on the suitcase. You will see a "scanning" message.

Thanks for responding, I should have been more specific, I was further along in the level where I was recording the ID of Milan Nedich.

I did figure my mistake out this morn by reading up on the EEV instructions in the Xbox manual.

It's been a bit over 3 yrs since I last played and up till now never played with keyboard and mouse and don't like it. I'd been using the Xbox game controller since 2001, my button actions were at a subconscious level. Activating EEV then scoping it enabled record DUH! I feel stupid

I ran into a similar issue when I recently played through that level. I zoomed in to record the conversation, and the message on the EEV showed "Recording" but it didn't go away after I completed recording the conversation and the objective was never marked as completed.

Took a hit to my score because of that. Strange how a game this old has new bugs popping up.

May have something to do with steam updating, convinced the creators haven't updated the game itself in well over a decade
