It works, but you can't use resolutions higher than 2080x768 (if I remember correctly), so that's a bit annoying

There's a .ini file you can edit for resolutions.

1920x1080 works.

Ik about the ini, but it didn't work with 1366x768

Does for anything. I had a laptop run fine at 1366x768.

that's fine, like i have the old splinter cell from ubi 30 and that thing can only go at like 1600 x 1080 or something like that, and i've got a Nvidia card not AMD so that shouldn't be a problem

I got that game from UBI 30 too. Download the fix from https://thirteenag.github.io/wfp#splintercell and put the "scripts" folder and the "msacm32.dll" file into the games SYSTEM folder. That fixed resolution and everything :)

It didn't work with Chaos Theory though, neither did it help to change the ini files :/

just got it, and it runs perfectly, more frames then splinter cell and the resolution is fine i don't care for running this game in 4k :D

I hate that patch..I hate how the HUD looks and the FoV is terrible. But, if you want it for Chaos Theory, here ya go.https://github.com/ThirteenAG/WidescreenFixesPack/releases/download/scct/SplinterCellChaosTheory.WidescreenFix.zip

I've already tried that patch, didn't work. It made the game widescreen, but the resolution was set to the lowest in game, and if I tried to change it, the widescreen disappeared :/

For Chaos Theory, edit "C:\ProgramData\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory\SplinterCell3.ini"

Search for the [WinDrv.WindowsClient] section and edit the numbers in the following lines:
FullscreenViewportX=1920
FullscreenViewportY=1080

It works. Also if you want full controller support you can use joytokey or xpadder. I just finished a 40hr playthrough with only 2 crashes.
