Hitman is great, but it's a different subgenre, so it's hard to compare.
no rule was set for stealth games where you should have no powers that make it fun.
stop making up ur own rules of logic in an attempt to look hardcore and cool
all these titles incorporate what i love about stealth games in some form or another
( tight smallish maps with lots of guards to sneak past or gun down )
It is hard for me to say this is the greatest stealth game of all time .. i dont think i have a favourite but titles from the above series are all in a four way tie.
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and MGS 1, 2 and 3 are pure gold.
(Sadly MGS 4 is meh and 5 is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tho.. and almost likewise with Splinter Cell but Blacklist is decent.)
Those mechanics are very cheap and kill any enjoyment of the game, at least for me personally. If that's your idea of fun, well, there are people who consider using cheat-codes fun, so you're not alone.
Well imo any stealth game that gives you the ability to pause time and warp around isn't going to be that hardcore lol. And yes I can decide not to use those abilities but its not how the game was meant to be played. The non powers part isn't as fleshed out as I would like.
