Ms. Selene's Request Not Triggering / can't unlock food?

Beat the main story line and I do not have the stir fry, burger, or kabob unlocked as it request a chain of side quests. However, I see no NPC's offering any more side quests. Is this a glitch or is there something I need to do to trigger the start of this quest?

Figured it out. You need to have candy in your inventory around noon to trigger a quest chain. You have to refuse to give the candy in order for the chain to activate.

We actually did refuse the candy and did the vegetable recipe... however we are still missing all 3 from listed above... how did you get the followup quests of that chain to activate? :)

edit : I though after progressing some more they would unlock... but I yet have to find selene request 1 and 2 as well as the kebab...

After the quest with the candy should be a quest from the girl in the town past the mine.

That is followed by a quest from the man in the town south of the desert.

Then after that I think you get Selene's quest

Keep another candy in your inventory, talk to the kid again and this time don't give him the candy.

We actually finished the game yesterday ;)
But still have a couple of quests/recipes to collect...

After the Candy, there was a guard outside on the right side of the city, then one with the mouse in the cold city, then one in the desert/beach town, and finally when going back into the bar with selene, she had quests for us...

Now we are only missing the moonlight flower 2 from apple, and throat problem (seeds from kiki)

This entire quest line is very buggy, I finished the entire game without ever getting the Shish Kabob quest line, in fact there is a whole host of quests that have really stupid triggers.

It is silly you need candy to trigger this and even then hope you are in town mid-day to even get it, it is only quest I can think of that needs this to be done nothing else does.

Only other annoying one was the lunch for the guard cause by time it triggers you have no need to go to that screen

@FireHawkX: I was at the same stage in the quest line, all up to and including Selene's siblings, and then Chief Oliver (in Paw Village) gave me his quest Throat Problem that immediately triggers the Moon Light Flower. It was morning, 9-10 AM, when I picked up the quest. I hope this helps.
And the last 3 quests are triggered in Canini Beach by Capri (it was 3 PM for me, in case time matters, but I don't think so).

Thanks for the reply!! :) The throat problem might be on the morning by oliver following a rainy day... not 100% certain but since he does reference the weather in the quest lines it might be... but we eventually got that one as well... and finally managed to 100% everything!

What triggers or where to find the shish kabob quest? Finished Miss Selene's and the main story - is the 'It Doesn't Work' quest well named?

Thank you so much!!! FYI: I went to the beach at 9Am and I received the quests, so maybe the hour doesn't matter, thank god :)
