I hope you enjoy Kitaria Fables!
and to the rude people in the thread, would you like it if I referred to you by the opposite gender? if I forced you to play a character you don't relate to/view as yourself in games with character creation? I doubt you would. It's easier to put yourself in a character's shoes and pretend that character is indeed you, when the game doesn't insist you are a specific gender that you're not.
Honestly I wish more devs would do nonbinary or genderless options as it shouldn't matter but making a character relatable to everyone vs only some is always going to get more sales in most genres.
On top of that, I've found that alot of people who go on and on about wanting to be "represented" never put their money where their mouth is. I had a friend who that was important, but they only ever played games with a male protagonist(they disliked voice acting thats higher-pitched, which is frequently female).
You're not playing as YOU, you're playing as the character in the game; NOT. YOU. Get over yourselves.
Gender is cat. pronouns are kitty and pspspsps
Seriously it's embarrassing to be associated. If it's a hardcore RPG with a detailed character creator, sure, care about your pronouns.
YOU PLAY AS A CAT.
Your opinion is causing second hand embarrassment if I'm being forward.
(White) privilege, everyone.
No, I don't have a problem with playing characters of the opposite gender. No, I don't have a problem with characters that have views that are not shared by me. I enjoy playing as big burly men who shoot big bad stuff. I enjoy playing as caring women who take care of everyone. I don't care what pronouns you use with me or what gender you think I am. If you genuinely have a problem with being unable to act in the shoes of another character in a videogame or any other media, or even in real life, then I would suggest reading this:
