Flashlight/Spotlight Problem
The lights from guard flashlights and spotlights ingame are not lit, but still affect my light meter. It is annoying because it's hard to avoid being seen by an invisible flashlight beam. Is there a way to fix this?

Just to modify it for steam:
1. right click on splinter cell
2. click properties
3. click "set launch options..."
4. enter "-shadowmode=projector" in the text field
5. click OK
6. click Close
7. start the game

After that spotlight was visible in game for me.

OS: Windows 10 64 bit GC: Nvidia GeForce GTX 570.

Was annoyed by Abattoir and the invisible spotlights. The solution wulf 21 dug up worked for me.

Hey, I had this issue with both Steam and Uplay and tried the code. Now it messes with my night/thermal vision. Night doesn’t fully renders it and thermal is blurry.
Fixed it for me, thankyou!

Old post, but this worked for me, so thanks. Pleasantly surprised that this is the only issue I've had with the game so far on Windows 10.
