Supposedly using a wired controller will make it work but I don't have one to try it with.
There's actually a couple more files you have to modify.
<path-to-game>\KellerGame\Config\PC\DefaultJoysticks.ini
<path-to-game>\KellerGame\Config\PCKellerJoysicks.ini
<path-to-game>\KellerGame\Config\DefaultJoysticks.ini
It's a pain in the ass, but I managed to get my Xbone controller to work just fine.
Sorry for necroing a dead post, but I figured this might help someone.
Hi,
I have already modified the other files but it still not working with my xbox one controller. Any advise?
could need some help with this problem.
I also bought Vegas 2 and installed that x360ce program with specific x64 ini file where the .exe was located.
I also changed the PCKellergame file as mentioned in another thread from a couple of years ago. It worked fine with my Xbox One Controller.
Now I have done the exact same thing with Vegas 1, but it didn't worked. (except I need x32 files)
But I can use a 360 Controller in game (by checking the box in the options), so basically it should work the same way?
Anyone here fixed this issue?
Thank you so much for posting this. I tried for hours following everyone instructions including yours. Finally worked after multiple tries! Thanks!
This worked for me using an XBox One controller that's supposed to be wireless, but is corded via USB since my OS has no native Bluetooth support. This worked just as well for me in VEGAS 2.
These are precisely the files you need to modify for this to work.
For all those refunding VEGAS or VEGAS 2 over this issue, for those giving up on these gems because of this problem, please don't. I struggled with this years ago, and laughed about the idea of writing down a working solution, thinking it would never come up again. I spent what felt like *hours* trying to figure this out, every possible combination of this ID and that ProductName ready to start pulling my hair out.
Over many years of gaming, several PCs and many consoles, I can write to you that the Rainbow Six titles are Old-but-Gold, and the VEGAS series is one of the best I've played in my entire life. The heroics, the voice acting, the soundtrack, all excellent. I know it's lame and uninviting without controller support, something I won't accept myself. So, I hope my success with a newer gamepad can also be yours.
Hey there,
I merged your post with another active thread that has a working solution.
If you have any trouble at all just let us know!
