can't change back to "Red" after a switch

After Fighting Faux In Chapter 5 (the first fight with him) I just wanted to find more collectables and stuff and switched from Red Felix to someone else and I can't change it back in the cypher

Is this because i got too many characters from the DLC?

No, that's normal and an oversight. I noticed this, too.

You cannot unlock Red Felix without a mod, but Red and Felix individually will be re-available in Chapter 6.
