Games similar to this one?
I already 100% this game and I need my fix. This game was awesome, but way too short! Obviously there's JSRF, but does anyone have any recommendation for whatever you call this genre? The game seems complete and the dev said they're working on another game, which is gonna be awhile. I need something to hold me over!

hifirush if you want some rythmic hack n slash too. great style
A lot of people talked down about Hover: revolt of gamers. It's story is terrible, but, if you want a sort of free-roam movement game?

That's a good avenue. I spent hours just blasting my own music while running around the locales aimlessly. First-person mode is sickening but it feels surprisingly good to use once you learn the controls.

the art direction is terrible, tho. I would also say its fine for that but if you mod BRC with extra maps you already have way better options than whatever they tried with that poor thing, and thats not even getting into gameplay mods, character mods, etc
i would recommend butterflies by le capitaine but it feels too much like a diet-jsr. the art direction is pretty poor and the gameplay feels a bit sluggish in comparison to jsrf/brc, but if you prefer the og jsr movement it may be fun for a while and its not too bad, so there is that
There is sunset overdrive. Diverges a bit from these types of games but heavily inspired by the grinding and combo systems.
I'd also recommend sunset overdrive, fun game
