this game really needs a custom graffiti option
it feels like such a required part of the formula its unbelievable theres not a custom graffiti editor in this game. i know its "possible through modding" but lets face it that just sucks AND i do not want to REPLACE an existing texture i want to make an addition.
plus theres simply no charm in modding being the only option. when i played jsr getting to use all their weird little tools to make my own tags was one of the best features of the whole game.

They've already said no to this request. I understand what you mean about modding not having the charm, HOWEVER, you're going to be able to make/copy WAY better graffiti with a simple PC program than anything you could do with an in-game editor.

It took me like two minutes to make my kid her own custom tags and import them into the game.

I'd at least try it, since it doesn't seem like this feature is coming to the game.

its not about the quality in the slightest. i want ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird tools (like jsr) because the limitations will result in a very interesting end product

While there is something admirable about overcoming limitations in art, any such limitations can be self imposed. Use a smaller selection of colors, limit the type of brushes used, or go for the full limited memory experience and set a smaller resolution canvas. Heck, can probably even go as far as using Steam's custom controller mapping with an art app to move and operate the mouse with a controller. The limitations don't have to come from a tool in a game if you're really looking for them.

Something to keep in mind is that custom art tools in games have grown with time and advances in consoles so even an official one would probably have been more feature rich than what was in the Jet Set Radio games. Self imposed limitations never have to change, though.
theres also the ever-important point "i dont want to replace an existing tag".
and idk how to say this without sounding rude but like. yeah man. i know i can self impose limits
