like is this game not telling half of its features to the player or am i stupid?
The game does a really bad job of telling the player certain mechanics. The skates can break glass ceilings by sliding on them, the skateboard can trick off of the red fire hydrant things to gain height, and the bike can open bike doors by just standing in front of them with the bike out.
tldr: for ground movement I could not get a noticeable change in speed vs distance traveled when I swapped my ride. bike manual is the furthest traveling manual traveling a bit further then the skateboard, and about double the distance skates go.
I did all testing in the hideout starting at the trench drain next to the taxi sign. After timing myself traveling form the drain to the end of the path, my average time was ~7 seconds and that did not noticeable changed when I road something different.
For manualing I only inputting manual from a stand still, as a note starting from normal speed and/or turning left and right should not effect the amount of time you can manual for compared to standing still. Ill be comparing their scores as a timer and distance traveled. bike traveled the furthest with 752 ending about 3/4 of the way through the stairs, skateboard was fairly close behind with 708, stopping close to half way, while skates were far behind at 404, stopping at about the taxi line.
bro this whole time I was assuming I would unlock something for that and then the game ended.
Like, bike gates are obvious, it has a picture of a bike on it. I'm assuming the hydrants are a Natas Spin reference? The skates are a full stop question mark though
