In chapter 4 you have to bother a Frank to get info, but he wants you to tag something in a hard to reach area above him. I have no clue how to reach it, probably because I'm missing something obvious. I can see a path near it but don't know where it begins exactly.

where the taxi is, go up the halfpipe there and boost forward, hang a left til you see the rooftop with a rail leading up and round it, from there boost-jump right to above the blue marker and the graffiti is there

I must be missing some important info because I've never been able to clear that jump even while boosting. I'd always come up just short.

Nvm, the tech needed is to be already boosting before jumping. I was using the billboard as a jumping point the entire time thinking that was the solution. Thanks.

I found a good way, if you go around to that one place where that garage door is with the air ducts with the two small tags, just grind the rail on the staircase and get up to the second little graffiti then just jump up from there and go around until you get to the main middle area and grind those rails onto that billboard then jump on that roof

When Smile says "where the taxi is" they meant where you first meet the taxi, not the taxi sign. It's the wide quarter pipe in the open courtyard against the building with the low blue roof.

i genuinely cannot make the jump and I have no idea what im doing wrong or if im even going the right way

Don't ask me how, but I managed it. Straight up you see the wall next to the yellow robot container thing. There's a half pipe against the building with the big tower of billboards. That will get you where you need to go.

All that works but you also could of added going towards Brink Terminal there is staircase left of it.
