Anybody got a virus notification when installing?
My Windows Defender just gave me a notification that there is a trojan script in the file v93_e2000.opus .... is this a false positive or something?

Also having this problem from the built-in windows virus & threat detection. Coming from a .opus file in the steam downloading folder. Tried catching the specific file and whitelisting it quickly mid update attempt, but my game stays stuck in an "update required" state, even after that. Changes between "missing downloaded files" and "disk write error" as the reason for pausing the upload.

Temporarily disabling real time protection, finishing the update, and then re-enabling real time protection seems to have worked fine, though.

I got the same thing.

Windows Security listed it as:

Trojan:Script/Oneeva.A!ml

Obviously you shouldn't trust us devs on this :P but it's just an opus-coded audio file, so seems like overzealous heuristics at work...

Getting same and a quick google says it's a bad one.

So it is safe to turn off windows defender and let it install?

The Audio file is corrupted, I went to the english voice folder and viewed the same thing in windows groove music app and worked just fine, I did it in the normal JP Voice folder and it said the file was corrupted and deleted itself.

Just checked, seems clean: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/40f002d60050e8f3aecb8306b8d5844b1af72b0ee36394d62c9cd3303c8d7b18/detection - feel free to upload and verify the hash. Alternative check sums of the file I checked (voice/v93_e2000.opus) are

md5: 15f84672d9fb2948a23b4f8458be068b

I mean the file may be good, but it's saying it's corrupted when I go to view it, none of the other audio files are having an issue letting me view and listen to it except that one, so the one on the live build may be a corrupted audio file.

Have you tried deleting that file and redownloading it via game verification?
philgxi  [developer] Jul 6, 2021 @ 11:18am
Can you have Steam verify your local files? The file from the live build plays perfectly fine for me. MD5 should be 15f84672d9fb2948a23b4f8458be068b.

i can play the file just fine, maybe verify the files?

Deleting the corrupted one, verifying the files, and properly allowing/restoring it before viewing the file fixed it.

It seems trying to view the file before allowing it got it corrupted by windows and it wouldn't let me view it. It's now allowing me to listen to it.

Sorry for the late reply, I basically just disabled my antivirus temporarily and then it installed normally. All good from there.

The issue I had was I can't install even if the file is allowed in the antivirus prompt.

I just had a notification from Kaspersky during play of the game about this saying it has a trojan inside of it, it force closed my game and then started trying to delete the game files pretty hastily. I am guessing it's a false positive but I'm left wondering how I'm meant to keep playing the game if it is doing this.
