Error message: Known issues with graphics driver

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT. When I try to play the game I get a message that there are issues with the installed version of the graphics driver and that I need to update to the latest driver version.

The current graphics driver installed is 342.01, and the error message recommends 398.36.

The issue is that NVIDIA shows that they support 398.36 for OTHER graphics cards, NOT the 9600 GT. As far as I can tell that driver (398.36) is not meant for the 9600 GT, and that the graphics driver I currently have installed (342.01) IS the most current driver.

After I close the message about updating the driver I get a message about No COOKED content being found and to alternatively build and run the uncooked version.

Of course I am unable to play the game. Any suggestions? I really don't want to have to refund the game.

Unfortunately I think it might just be due to the age of your graphics card (the 9600 GT was the one from 2008, right?) - I'm not sure there's much I can do unless anyone has some sly tricks to get it to work.

Yeah, not sure of the exact age, but I do need a new graphics card. (Been needing one for a bit, but it's a little bit outrageous to try and find one with the shortages right now and it still works for most current games.)

Anyhow, thanks for the response. Eventually I'll upgrade my PC and try to wait for the game to go on sale again.

Yeah, the shortages are rough so that's very understandable. Sorry again! Hope you still enjoy it when you can eventually play. <3
