But thats a different story. I really thank you guys for supporting my words.
I do hope developers will listen to us. As I said, I like this game, I want it to succeed! I think devs made great work, exept this one crutial part with lean speed.
I do not know how can I or We (community) help to make it better. If devs need some feedback or something I can try to do what is in my abilities. I do not know, If devs need, i can try some beta tests, maybe give more direct feedback... something...
As always, Best wishies!
IMO, the issue is not on bike. It is because lack of riding position adjustment.
And the way this game handles countersteering and lean angle.
Countersteering is auto, like most bike games.
I think that is a good thing for players.
As for physics and lean speed. This indeed may feel a bit unrealistic. If you go full throttle in the game at full speed, the front tyre feels unloaded too much and bike goes very wide like there was no possibility to steer. Thats why I slightly reduce the throttle to turn.
I do nit have track racing experience, try not to ride over my own limits. But in general I prefer RiMS racing more than Ride physics where bikes feel floating over the ground.
So let's get straight to it. We will not change the rider lean angles... because you can!
It's probably are single largest gameplay complaint, and just as it is tricky to explain It's tricky to fix! Anyway, with this in mind I want to explain to you the settings I use in-game (because I totally agree at first the bike was super slow to throw around)
It kinda all comes down to the controller you are using, there are so many out there its difficult to find a setting that fits all out of the gate. (Most of people playing RiMS will probably never look at the custom controls, except to remap once).
Within the custom controls section there is further settings you can adjust and play with.
Default:
Sensitivity: -2
Dead zone: 1
Saturation: 100
Me:
Sensitivity: 5
Dead zone: 1
Saturation: 80
If i remember well the defaults were like this. I use a Nacon Pro controller at work and a Xbox One controller at home on PC. I found differences between them, and its really a trial and error situation. But I was able to get the rider to react quicker to changes and body movement. I also found disabling auto-tuck gave some more freedom, but its super annoying for me to hold up on the straights.
I am no track veterean, I rode a little motox when i was a kid so if you've all tried this already and still finding it bad, It's something we will go away and focus on.
