all trolling aside because I think we can all agree AC Shadows is terrible, whoever made that Yasuke custom character did an excellent job recreating the AC Shadows characters likeness.

Can anyone tell me why there was no outrage when you play as a white guy in Nioh but a historical figure who was:
>made a samurai
>given a sword
>a horse
>a salary
>servants
>their own home literally called a 'samurai residence' or bukeyashiki 武家屋敷
Is suddenly a bad thing? Only history phds or doctorasl and gigachads can reply to me. :zazen:
No one opposed to the game is saying Yasuke is bad because hes black. Thats a boogeyman that exists only in the head of wokists. The prime minister of japan called Shadows an insult to japan today by the way
And now you are playing a superior game with the same character and combat that is 100 times better ;)
The Yasuke looks pretty good. And you can get the full set of his armor from Nioh if you find the William impostor and beat him. I never really liked his armor's look, but it is fitting here.
I would totally watch a Yasuke -themed blaxploitation film.

"They call him Boss - Boss Ninja!"
DAS RIIIIIIIIIIITE

I got better, Head Ninja In Charge!
Give him Fentanyl as well

Don't forget, it this was all about Yasuke being black... Assassin's Creed Origins starred an African black protagonist as well. I would have to ask, was there any outrage over Origins starring a black man?

Origins sold well enough to. at least, set the foundation for future games. So if the fans that would have continuously supported the franchise didn't want to with Shadows because black protag, they never would have supported Origins either. Clearly there is more going on then it being racially motivated.

Also, did they really try to make the historically accurate case for the game? Ubi practically was going to bed people to take in every detail with a fine-toothed comb and any inaccuracies were going to be spotlighted. Of course, there were going to be many liberties taken in the story for the game's sake and narrative,.

That said, they shouldn't claim any attempts at accuracy if they don't show as much respect for the culture they are pilfering from to make the game as needed, they would get called out for it and deservedly so.

It will probably sell fairly well, but I don't think fairly well is going to cut it for Shadows. This was a location and timeline many fans apparently clamored for them to make a game based on. With that knowledge, Shadows should sell so much better than any of the prior games. Maybe it will... maybe it won't.

I haven't really ever cared for Assassin's Creed myself, but I really like RotR on the PC and on the PS5 when I bought it last year. I just wish they weren't so lackadaisical with this game's launch and PC port.

The protagonist in Origins was not an African Black, how incredibly insulting for you to call an Arab man that. Bayek is an Egyptian arab who speaks Arabic.

Because everyone knows that Ubisoft would never have made a Japan Assassin's Creed without the Yasuke character being made a meme. And everyone knows what corporations are doing focusing on this character and ensuring more westerners know him than know Hideyoshi or Sanada Yukimura.

This is also not the AC:S board. Why are we talking about this?
