Don't think so given it didn't sell as expected.

It would be nice but it got a lot of mixed views on its original release and even on the PC release due to the performance, crashes some people are having. Also don't forget the Nioh stans that crap on anything that is not Nioh lol.

This game was one of those wrong place at the wrong time type of game releases, as it released right when Dragons Dogma 2 released, which had way more hype around it, and since it was a PS5 exclusive there was an even smaller player base to get it at the time, which lead to not great sales from my understanding.

On a personal note I believe its an exceptional open world action RPG. There is no open world action RPG that has combat this good imo, Team Ninja actually made a great story (so far), the animations/cutscenes are the best they have done so far,...etc.

Personally I perfer Team Ninja sticking to more linear action combat games as they are much more replayable for me. While I;m enjoying this game ALOT I just don't see myself doing multiple playthroughs like I did with Nioh 1-2, Wo Long, and Strangers of Paradise, and its mostly because of its open world nature.

Its Koei most succesful game, said by them on an interview. That said and as much as love this one i prefer them to focus on Nioh 3, Ninja Gaiden sequels or a new IP to be honest.

Would rather have open-world Nioh, but I'll take more Team Ninja combat any day, thank you. Also having yokai to fight would really elevate this game, IMO.

It seems to have done well by KT standards so hopefully. In any case I'm excited to see how they apply what they've learnt with RotR to future Team Ninja RPGs.

An open world Nioh 3 could be amazing imo with bigger missions, demon hunting and dynamic demon realms in an open world this expansive.

OMG. Do you think they can say anything else about game that was released on PC less then week ago?
They can't say anything bad for oblivius reasons.
Anyway, there is no point in comparison RotR with Nioh, as they very different.

If they learn anything at all about this release, it's that they should ditch the Katana engine.

It won't even get DLC. So no.

Given how messy the story is in Nioh 2, they will probably do a remake that combines the two games together so that you still have the oni features and most likely will use the rise of ronin coop to incorporate Williams in the present/nioh 1 part of the story.

I think the open world is ok. It's nice to just kind f around in the world, but I think it's something they should not do it too much. If they do open world I think it would work in a more compact smaller scale. I think their mission structure works best. I think we will see stuff like combat styles in future games.

I want a game where I travel the seas as Commodore Perry air juggling the natives of the islands of the Pacific and battling the Chinese as I spread AMERICA worldwide

The upgraded Kanata engine actualy work really well for DW Origin.

That said, they probably don't want to do another open world with the Katana engine for a while.
