Can't even step foot in Yokohama

Got the glider, glide into Yokohama, cut scene plays, game crashes instantly afterwards. Every. Single. Time. No setting or Nvidia driver changes this. This is literally like 2 hours into the game how tf they miss this?

Yokohama and the game itself is very CPU-heavy, maybe that's your issue, unstable CPU.

Your supposed to talk to the guard at the bridge to enter.
If your save is corrupted try reloading an earlier save.

Not that part. After you do the mission to get the permit and glider and you glide down and theres a cutscene. Game just automatically goes *nope*

Have a i9 10900k. Don't think my cpu is an issue here

After you get the glider you are supposed to talk to the guard. Not glide straight into Yokohama.

Nah the guard has nothing to say nor is there even a option to talk to him. You literally just follow the waypoint along the bridge then a cutscene plays and game just crashes

I could glide straight in without issues. Cutscene plays and you're just 'put' at the entrance regardless of how you entered.

I can see this being the case I guess, but that doesn't explain why they dont have the option to talk to the Guard either.

Yeah, it's that being put at the entrance part after the cut scene that makes my game just die instantly. Scene plays, screen goes black then crashes. Had zero issues with the game before this. Ran buttery smooth and was enjoying my time but this one is a hard stop for me atm. Guess I need to wait for a patch

If this game wasnt 150 gigs I'd put it on my steam deck just to see if I can get past this cut scene

I used to have the same issue, and saw there is a post about disabling anisotrop filter, change the settings (disable anis. filter), exit the game, restart my pc, and start the game again with anis. filter already disabled, and my game run buttery smooth... You may want to try it....

Well patch didnt help so I went ahead and downloaded it on my steam deck just to get past that cut scene, saved and loaded it back up for smooth gameplay again. Something in that cut scene does not like my hardware on my pc. Not exactly a fix for anyone who may have this issue because I doubt many people just have a steam deck laying around lol

I had same problem when arrived at 2nd zone (Edo) instant crash (application terminated), I did reinstall the whole game on steam and now I can progress further. But 150GB takes time to redownload. I dont have steam deck.

Not an instant crash for me but i get an infinite loading screen after the anti shogunate leader speech. The 1.09.0.1 patch that released today on 14/03/2025 did not fix the issue.
