From the patch notes since KT knows this is an issue. Maybe you have a backup save made since KT put that feature in the update.

Save Data Location
\Users\"username"\Documents\KoeiTecmo\Ronin\Savedata\(Steam Account ID)
Each data will be saved in the following location:
Manual Save: "SAVEDATA**" folder (** represets numbers 00~49)
Auto Save: "SAVEDATAAUTO" folder

Back Up Save Data Location
\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\KoeiTecmo\Ronin\Savedata\(Steam Account ID)
A folder will be made for both manual and auto saves, and within them will be a file named BACKUP.BIN
Rename the BACKUP.BIN file of the save data you wish to recover, to SAVEDATA.BIN
Replace the SAVEDATA.BIN file in the Save Data Location with the file you have just renamed.

Thanks dude! Wasn't in the app data but I was able to find an autosave in the save data location from a previous time and replace it with that. Huge help.
