How is it running now?

Game wasnt running great in 4k when I bought it weeks ago. Got a refund.

Is it better now or should I wait some more?

Not sure where the denial comes from.. post purchase rationalization? The port is so bad even the devs admitted it... what else is there to say? Nothing, yet they keep at it.

I assume it is just lowered expectations.

I saw someone in the forums for a different thread saying a game ran well on the Steam Deck. Another person disagreed, and they went back and forth for a bit until the person saying that other game ran well on the Deck posted a video.

The game was dipping into the 20 FPS range fairly regularly, but the person defending it was perfectly happy with those results.

That made it clear that, unless you have objectively defined points of comparison, different people can look at the same results and reach different conclusions on how playable it is.

Like I could not live with 20 FPS. I prefer 60, but I could live with a rock solid 45, since 45 FPS actually looks pretty good on the SD OLED's 90 Hz screen.

Except it doesn't, you are coping.
Wrong. That is why the 9070 is sold out everywhere.

Keep telling yourself dat
what i really wonder, is why people buy litteral trash and then complain how games dont run well.

You guys have more problems on your "top tier PC's" Than i had on my laptop with insufficinet powersupply that kept shutting off..

Runs fine for me, then again it has always. I have however heard rumors about a patch today, or tomorrow deppending on where you are. I hope it drops and fixed the performence issues many have.

The engine just sucks, i get dips to around 100-115 max settings with framegen on but because i'm not getting a locked 120 it runs in slow motion, so i'm forced to play at locked 60 which is noticeably choppier

You should be able to play at 4k 120fps now but you're not getting a consistent 120fps even with frame gen. The weird motion issues it caused is now gone.
If you travel to Edo in the Shiba region theirs a little island on the right that has two bridges attached to it with a bunch of vegetation. It's a good place to test you're frame rate.
Images 4k 120fps top settings. My specs should be top right corner.

Performance is heavily dependant where you are. Outside of cities it is fine, inside cities at some places it is terrible. It is like there are some hotspots of lags.

If you're referring to region near the pleasure district in yokohama i actually get better fps there than i do on that island.

Ah well, the pleasure district might be a "hotspot", but that was not what I mean ;) I cannot point where exactly, just often saw it at cities with buildings.
Since last patch it runs amazingly for me. All maxed and 0 drops, 0 crashes, constant 144fps
works on my pc ;)
I went from being in the 40s and 50s in and out of buildings, and now in those same areas I'm in the 70s and 80s. Didn't change any of my settings from the last time I launched it, either. So it still seems to be PC Build Dependent, but in my case it is working how I wanted it to work from the get-go.
