How is it running now?
RTX 4090 and Ryzen 9 9950x here.

Game wasnt running great in 4k when I bought it weeks ago. Got a refund.

Is it better now or should I wait some more?

I assume it is just lowered expectations.

I saw someone in the forums for a different thread saying a game ran well on the Steam Deck. Another person disagreed, and they went back and forth for a bit until the person saying that other game ran well on the Deck posted a video.

The game was dipping into the 20 FPS range fairly regularly, but the person defending it was perfectly happy with those results.

That made it clear that, unless you have objectively defined points of comparison, different people can look at the same results and reach different conclusions on how playable it is.

Like I could not live with 20 FPS. I prefer 60, but I could live with a rock solid 45, since 45 FPS actually looks pretty good on the SD OLED's 90 Hz screen.

Worse than at launch.
Not that great still. But a third patch is coming on 10 April (Thursday) from the devs.

Pretty good for me. I'll probably wait for the QoL patches that fix broken parts of the game before investing another 100 hours or so into it.

RTX 3060 TI and ryzen 5 5600x

game runs well for me. I run it at locked 60 fps on mostly high settings and have had no fps issues at all so far

Runs great on my 4070 Ti Super / 5900X (32 GB RAM). Most settings maxed with RT enabled at 1440p (DLSS) and a solid 60 fps that I use FSR3 frame generation to motion smooth to 120 fps.

The game is too demanding for potato PCs though. It's putting my 12-core CPU to work, but that's fine as long as the game runs well.

Runs like ♥♥♥♥ on my 6700 xt, had to do frame gen on 30 fps to get 60ish but the frame drops/cuts happends all the time so it is not smooth. If i try to run it on native 60 fps i have a slow mo, does not matter which graphic settings i will put.

Which is strange because like two weeks ago i found a fix and put AA to 0 and it all worked smoothly without frame gen. But now again it is bad.

I can hit 120 fps if I cap the game to 60 with DLAA and frame gen enabled. It's "smooth" but its setting my hardware on fire for no real reason, 4070 with a ryzen 5800x3d.

Lies, i have a 5800X3D, 4070Ti, 32Gb RAM, and a M.2 SSD and at those settings it runs like ass, Edo is the slo-mo show. For w/e reason i'm always at 70-90% CPU usage, this game runs worse than max settings Cyberpunk while looking multiple gens behind it. The Katana Engine is an abomination.

Like ass. Not unplayable but far from optimal. Refrain from buying unless you have above average CPU and GPU. If you want to run it well, you need a beast of a machine. At least a higher end previous gen CPU like 13700k or it's AMD equivalent.

No lies. I have no issues with the game. It runs very well as described. I have a more powerful GPU with 4 GB VRAM more than you, and 8 additional CPU threads that are all utilized while playing this game. The 5800X3D is good when CPU cache is stressed, games that like more threads will run better on a 5900X.

The game is what it is, I'm not saying that the Katana engine is great (it isn't). But it's still running nicely at 120 fps with frame generation on my system. The game has to run at either a locked 60 fps or a locked 120 fps. Everything in between will have bad frame pacing and the slo-mo effect you mention.

Lower some settings or use a lower DLSS base res to find something that works for you.

Your GPU is 3-10% more powerful depending on the game and your extra VRAM is irrelevant as the game doesn't even max out my VRAM.

As for the CPU

But my 8 additional CPU threads might work wonders for this game, seeing as it loads them all consistently.

It's a console game designed around a 3600X tier CPU...

Yep, and it runs and looks horribly on a PS5. At least you can brute force it on PC.
idk why but the game's taking a lot outta my GPU & CPU and they're heating up like crazy (i5 12400f & 3060ti), anyone knows which settings are affecting the cpu the most ?
