. I probably have 100+ hours across all platforms on the original as well and i played for 4 hours straight of this without getting bored.
It's RoR 1 but prettier and there's more of it.
Though it's still a much more fun game over RoR2 imo.
It was basically just an indy game, the company had little resources, they made an insanely good game for just starting out.
With the success of their sales they were able to eventually release the sequel which of course had a far broader appeal so that game is what let them really take off. Now that they are actually successful they went back and re created the first game but with a lot higher quality of life, extra content, actual functional multiplayer so we no longer have to open ports to play with friends. Ect.ect.
Whether it's actually worth buying or not will be a completely different from person to person.
