Her trap-making ability looks interesting, and could have potential for PvP. But, I need my Kirara to be higher level before I can test her PvP potential.
Some of her skills seems to be good for debuffing multiple enemies. I think you either have to use blue or red support for her.
1) Her extreme dodge skill reduces enemies speed and def in a large area.
2) Glacier drop can stun/freeze grouped enemies, but only in a small area.
3) Frigid edge is good at making enemy groggy and it's better than stun/freeze since you can hit a groggy enemy and they won't be able to do anything.
4) Her trap skills might be good for PvP just like Tomowatt mentioned above, however, in PvE it's a bit of hit or miss. The reason is, if there is a lot of range enemies just like in the new event, your trap won't do much if they just shoot you from afar.
5) Snow veil seems to be good if you use all blue but you'll be stationary as long it's active and the range isn't that great imo.
Other skills I didn't mention means I don't really use them so I can't say anything for those ones.
Like you've said, she's been out for only a few days so probably still a few more days before someone find a meta for her. I'm still testing her as well with all the debuff skills.
About gameplay she feel very squashy. She have good fast AoE atacks with great debuffs. But still fact she is very squashy and have no skills that regen her health make her weak, esspecially for tower.
Btw. I do not know how people make builds but my 37 lvl Kirara alone is able to trash enemy team of ~50 lvl characters included another Kirara. So... definitly most people make her builds wrong.
As for supporters, I've just been running an all red build and it's been doing work for me and my kirara is almost for lvl 40 and she can already take on mostly everything on hard. Mind you that my experience is that of a free to play player so even though i have a decent collection of supporters I'm pretty sure someone who's either played longer, has better luck or just spends money here and there knows how to do some ridiculous things with her already.
But overall I'm having a pretty good time with her so far but, i'm mainly waiting to buy Ingrid(even though i voted for kirara).
I have Frigid Zone and the combo extender as permanent parts of my kit, but I can't decide on the final skill.
The dash attack tends to overshoot, and the ice mines leave me too open for too long... I think that the move where she jumps up and tosses a chunk of ice down is the best one, so far.
And this is absurd range characters have self heal but melee characters not.
I have issues with Green build's skill "Snow Leopard Fist"; it's too difficult to use against stronger opponents because the skill can be interrupted too easily. However, I might try Green build again at a higher level; it *might* have potential to be a farming build when Kirara is overpowered for Daily Quests.
In principle, Snow Veil has the same problem as Snow Leopard Fist, but it might not be an issue for Blue build. Not only does blue build enhance the effects of Frigid Zone, but it also adds a slowing effect to Snow Veil. If both are used in succession, the enemy will be too slowed down to do anything about Snow Veil.
However, I'm still putting Blue build on ice for now. Snow Veil has +250% C.Damage effect, but my Kirara doesn't have enough Crit to make the most of it yet. But I do see potential in it.
Red build seems devoid of additional effects, but there might be potential in it. The skill Frigid Edge is really difficult to aim, but when it does hit, it hits pretty hard. I'm thinking that it might be possible to make a Red/Green based on Frigid Edge and Snow Leopard Sprint; if Kirara can stack enough Crit, she might not even need the +50% Crit from Set 3 effect. She could instead include Snow Leopard Sprint with Set Green effect and get +12% more DMG.
But obviously, I cannot test that without sufficient Crit. For now, I'm running a Red Build with Frigid Edge, Frigid Zone, and combo enhancer. Straightforward, works well enough, and it lets me use Watarase Tsumugi's +7% EXP (No way I'm paying 500k to change her affinity).
Stagger is a problem of ALL melee characters, like really who thought that EVERY enemy could interrupt your combo, even if it's some little slime? Range characters like Yukikaze or Emily just make the game so easier... They need to fix this imo, like give every melee character a bit of resistance to interruption.
Like a poise stat from dark souls, or better: a super armor gauge.
I don't think hyper-armor is going to specifically fix it. We already have a hyper-armor focused character in the axe girl and most of her hyper armor charge attacks aren't worth using because this game is NEVER going to give us any interesting attack properties that aren't just do damage and maybe SOMETIMES stagger if the enemy's meter is down and also if they feel like it. You're just going to eat ♥♥♥♥ from the second swing of every one of this game's ridiculous attacks. You would need some sort of blanket hyper-armor on all attacks below a certain damage threshold to even stand a chance.
