So, we abandoned the idea of creating a faithful to the book game adaptation and started with our own narrative. Of course, we took a lot of inspiration from Zelazny, but inspiration can not be copyrighted :)
Actually, Roger Zelazny did the same, when he wrote "A Night in the Lonesome October". This book is based on quotations and direct or indirect borrowings from multiple sources (most of them were already in the public domain). We are doing a similar thing, and many of our sources do not match with Zelazny's.
So, there are no legal reasons to sue us; we don't use a single quote from the book.
But if Zelazny estate wants to contact us, we would be thrilled to make a deal with them and create together a "real" official "A Night in The Lonesome October Game" (in the form of DLC or a separate title).
Didn't ignore. We never saw anything from you. Had you tried you could have found me easily. Instead you went through with it and it's clear plagiarism. Snuff to Sniff? Have contacted our agents and lawyers. This game should not be up as it is. And the other inspirations are basically the dedication in the book. I wrote you on Instagram and you ignored me.
We never received anything from you. I wrote you on Instagram and was ignored. If you're really interested in an actual deal as opposed to a plagiarized knockoff, I am easy to find. But our agents and lawyers have been notified. Rather make something nice than questionable.
~Trent Zelazny
Hello!
Are you really Trent Zelazny? Because I actually communicated with Trent Zelazny years ago (twitter and email), and he (you?) even answered.
But disclaimer on Trents website says: "If you are wanting to contact Trent regarding rights for his father's work; Trent is not connected to the estate and has no control over any of Roger Zelazny's work."

That's why we tried to contact agents directly (and it was without any success). If you are really Trent and if you are ready to talk about the game, it is great, let's discuss it via email, we would be happy to communicate with you.
Sorry, we almost did not use our Instagram account, and we did not use it at all for communication, I think, we did not check messages there for years.
just checked our Instagram inbox. No private messages at all, sorry. But Instagram is not the best communication channel, if you wrote just a comment, we could oversee it.
If you are really Trent Zelazny (and we hope, that you are him, even if our discussion here started not as we would expected), we would like to talk to you further.
I just sent you an email, and I am looking forward to your answer. Probably you will remember the email I have sent you on 08.10.2018. I personally tried to reach you when our project was still a tabletop game concept, after hearing you talking about "A Night in the Lonesome October" on a Lovecraft Zine podcast.
I personally am a huge fan of Roger Zelazny's work, so, I hope, that we will find an understanding.
