The game of cat or the game of robots?
Spoilers.

I bought this game for the cat, because I thought it is a game which tells a story of a cat and I could experience the feeling of being a cat. However, the cat is replaceable, there would be nothing differences if I change the main character to a mouse or something else. It seems that the producers are more likely to tell a robot story but not a cat story. The cat even don't find its friends in the end! I also would like to probe outside and look around in the beautiful scene.Sadly, the producers don't give me the chance.I am expected to see more stories about the bunch of cats, so we could have the sequel soon, anyway!

It's neither. It's an adventure game about a cat discovering the history of robots. With cat mechanics so that it's not so irrelevant if the protagonist is a cat or not. A mouse or dog would not be so believable with those jumps and chases.

You might say it's a game about robots, but seen by someone from the outside. And that someone is a cat.

What exactly were you expecting? Its just a cat that MIGHT be a bit more intelligent than usual. Other than that, its just a cat, and you can do cat things. There's not exactly much to expand upon that.

Well,I supposed the dogs and mice can be flexible, too.I just expected more stories about cats but robots.Because I just bought this for cat, although the robots' stories are fine.

More stories about the cat and its friends, I guess? I don't know the exactly publicity situation in your area, but the game is as a "cat simulator" to be advertised in my country, so I just would like to know more about the cat itself.

It's not really a game "about cats" or a game "about robots". It's an adventure game told from the perspective of a cat protagonist set in a cyberpunk post apocalyptic world.

So sure it's not a cat simulator, or a robot story. It's an exploration game which slowly reveals the main story through dialogue, memories, and a lot of environmental storytelling which needs no words to understand.

Most of the story is told by the environments, by the scene, rather than the robots and cats populating it.

Not trying to be a D about it, but did you even read the game's ''description'' on steam or its User generated TAGS?

''Lost, alone and separated from family, a stray cat must untangle an **ancient mystery** to escape a **long-forgotten cybercity** and find their way home.

This implies robots or at least some weird futuristic cybernetic-enhanced humans & an strange ''ancient mystery'' to solve.

I too would have liked to see more of the cats later on in the game & a happy reunion.

Probably the description is missleading a bit, since the cat didn't have a home to begin with. It's not like it wasn't a stray cat before it fell down. But want's to go back up where the sun is shining. It's as simple as that. The title is Stray. This was always a stray cat. It was a stray when it fell, it was a stray before it fell.

The game doesn't focus that much on the goal, it focuses on the journey itself. It's more of a case here where the journey is more important for the story than the destination.

I agree the environment also an important part of telling story. The scenery is beautiful, I really like that.

Well, I was recommended to play this game, actually. I know this whole story is about the "stray", but I DO NOT know the story of the cat itself is so limited, it even don't meet other cats in the end, the cat experienced the whole thing is just for reuniting with its friends, after all! The story is nice, however, I am expecting more contents with regard to the cat itself (I thought there will be an ending about its friends or an animation of its later life at least) when I saw an advertisement which is use the cat as a selling point. The story of the whole thing is fine, but the cat story should be completed, at least. B12 is still alive, so maybe the contents of reunion are in the next story.

Yes, you are right, the journey is more important for the story than the destination. But I am still expected to the reunion. I wish I could see the cat have a happy life as the beginning of the story, if its has more stories about other cats and new robots friends, it will be wonderful. So I am also expected the sequel.
