Same thing (dounble imputs) hapened to me on 8bitdo ultimate connected via dongle.
What helped was turning odd bluetooth.
it MAY be only Epic version and/or Epic app messing something up, tried demo on steam and it was fine,
This has just fixed another game for me.
Guess from now on playing a game is going to take another three minutes of setting up playing with on / off buttons.
Do you have a second controller plugged in that isn't a Logitech controller? That might have to be ticked off temporarily in Steam's general controller configuration each time you play.
Also, make sure that you have a 'Disable' template setup in Steam's Desktop Controller config otherwise Steam will try and possess even games not associated with its client.
Thank you but I don't even have the client running when playing the game. I play the Epic version which is running without client as well. I also don't have a secondary controller attached - just a wireless logitech mouse on USB (I might try to switch it off temporariliy to see if this helps). I am downloading the Steam demo right now to see if they are different in that regard as well.
Edit: Tried it. Controller is working fine in menus in the demo - it is just the full game ... maybe even just the Epic release?
I think, even with Steam client shut down, Steam's mapper will entangle your controller when playing games outside Steam.
I had this issue a few years back and had to go to Steam>Settings>Controller>Desktop Configuration and add a 'Disabled' template.
You might also want to try a driver clean up as well - the only proggy I trust for that is IOBits Driver Booster which had a clean up tool - it will get rid of excess drivers which may be confusing things as well.
Hey, something else just dawned on me...
Steamwebhelper process seems to be getting corrupted recently.
I had an issue, a few days back, when shutting out of an emulator that would cause my mouse cursor to sink to the bottom left corner of my screen and get stuck there.
Opting for Steam Beta seemed to install a fresh steamwebhelper that fixed that issue but now I'm having that issue again.
So also try opting for Beta and try and keep an eye out for what might be infecting that process.
I am not entirely certain but I think that with even Steam's client shut down that process stays resident in Task Man.
Hey, thank you so much for trying to help me. I just figured it out and the game now runs perfectly fine with my Logitech F-310. All I had to do was to delete all old devices from device manager (those that are only shown if you activate the option to even see them) and I also deleted the gamepad driver from device manager as well (so I guess I did manually what you told me to do with the tool). Then I restarted the system again and now it is working and I can finally play the game :)
Cool, good to hear =)
