ME2 Won't Launch

I have played Mass Effect 1 and some of Mass Effect 2 but then one day my game froze and while trying to fix the problem I accidentally unplugged the external data storage I was using for the game. Ever since then the game wont load, Ill click mass effect 2 and it will take me to a loading screen, then it goes black and brings me back to the Legendary Edition Menu. Ive run a test and all the files are working. Does anyone know what to do?

Try moving your save files out of the save directory. It's possible a save was corrupted and is causing a crash when trying to load it.

Do you know where in the files I can find that?

Documents > Bioware > Mass Effect Legendary Edition > Save > ME1/ME2/ME3

Since it's ME2, just move the ME2 folder out of that directory. If it starts, then your latest autosave probably corrupted and you'll need to delete that save and load your latest manual save.

OMG!!! Thank you! I copied it to a new folder and then deleted the one in the saves folder and now the game launched! Thank you so much! and thankfully I only got a couple hours into the game before. I dont even care about restarting it. Have a good day!
