For 6 bucks, this collection is an absolute steal.
Whether you like the changes or not is personal opinion, I personally like the changes to the way the weapons work, which makes many builds viable. The graphics are somewhat improved, the controls and interface is changed.
Considering I paid less than 20 bux, it was worth it.
the bad endings are from a veeeeery old ME3 game.
and yes it still need the EA launcher.
You should especially start over your choices carry over to ME2 and then ME3
ME2 is a superior video game in most respects. And it also has a great story, though the premise from the get go is kind of stupid because it begins with one of the most ham fisted deus ex machina scenarios I've ever seen. It also significantly pares down space exploration into a planet scanning mini game that's...not super fun.
These two games are both great. And the story for both were written by a guy named Drew Karpyshyn. Same guy who also wrote KOTOR, the Darth Bane trilogy, and the Revan book.
By the time Mass Effect 3 went into development, Drew had left Bioware because it had gotten too corporate. This is likely the reason there's very little new lore introduced in this game...most of the story elements are nostalgia bait and callbacks from the previous two games. It's probably also why Bioware leaned even further into the multiplayer shooter aspect at the expense of the story. ME3 ends up being...ok by the end. Not terrible but not great either. Worth playing though just to see things through if nothing else.
