I'll just wait over here, continuing to be let down by NFS refusing to go back to exotic supercars on scenic open roads like it should...
I assume it's still going to be on the same horrible unoptimised engine that EA uses for almost everything else?
Shame I'll be skipping this one.
I also hope the wacky cartoon popups don't happen in actual gameplay.
Here's some advice before you go wasting your time making another game like HEAT.
People want a simple game.
We want to select a car, and race our friends.
Single player should just be structured like F-Zero. Just give us Cups. Tracks. Raw racing.
Each car has its own single-player campaign. Races could have themes like "cars from the 90's", "Only Lambos", "convertibles". Replace the F-Zero cutscene rewards in the single-player with skippable in-engine cutscenes that simply show a brief and visually stimulating history behind the car you just raced with that can be viewed at any time in an unlockables menu.
Car customization should go no further than making custom skins. I don't care what tires I'm using. I pick car. I go. That's it.
Put the rest of development hours into making an incredibly responsive, deep, optimized game that looks nice and can run on anything. Make the game FUN before doing anything else.
Honestly, just add content to NFS:HP, make minor improvements to that game, and you have a winner.
