Game not working.

I just bought the game on the spring sale. I was quite happy, but as soon as i pressed play for the first time, EA did it. The game just does not open on my laptop. It just idk comes as a black screen and then it takes me to the EA store. I have tried lots of times to start from all different places but get the same result. What should I do to resolve this? Is this an issue others are facing as well?

I had the same problem but try this:

Find your launch NFS11Remastered.exe file (:\Steam\steamapps\common\Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered) and right click on it. From the Compatibility tab, choose "Run This Program As an Administrator" and try to launch again.

This worked for me.

I did that but it is still not working. It's great that it worked for you. I hope this gets resolved, otherwise, I have just wasted 180 INR.
I mean I went to the location you mentioned then did run as administrator but still it did not run, it started, like ea launcher prepares the game, then a black screen and next i am back on my desktop and the ea library opens.

Same Problem here, suddenly stopped working on the PC of my Son. Was working fine for the last coupleof weeks but now it´s just simply refused to start. No Error Message or a Hint in the Eventlog from Windows. I´ve tried everything so far:
Upgrading to all the newest drivers
Deleting the EA Appcache
run the EA App as an admin
run the gamefile as an admin
Reinstalling the EA App
Reinstalling the Gamefiles
It´s just don´t start.......

I have the same problem. Tried everything, reinstalled the game, ran it as administrator, compatible mode for windows 7 and 8, verified download, ran from ea app. nothing. but when i googled the problem for this game, it seems to be a very, very, very common problem for this game, which seems EA haven't sorted it out. Saw a post for this same exact problem from 2020 onwards.

Usual recommendation what seems to be posted, redownload the game, clear cache, verify game, run as admin, run compatible mode for windows 7, etc. and with other post, it seems to have ran good for some people then suddenly stopped working last couple days/weeks.

Wonder who we can contact at EA besides EA forums, as steam support suggest to contact game developer.

Just a bummer, as i'm not someone who buys need for speed games (usually plays someone else copy in the past) bought four need for speed games including this one, of all four games, this one is the only one what i'm having a problem with

Exactly, I acrolled through other discussions and found that this might be due to an error on EA's part, but am not sure. Also, I am facing the same issues and did all the things that u tried. It still doesnt want to work!

Tried that as well but it did not work....well curse EA its likely their issues coz all my drivers are up to date.

I mean just look at the discussion, its like all of them are talking about this issue. So its quite likely that the problem is from EA's servers. This is why I really liked it in the past when we could get games on disks, install them and run them without any issues, if u want to play multiplayer, no worrier do it over lan or the internet. No such issues, just pure bliss while enjoying the title. aahhh....miss the good old days...

Just installed fresh on Windows 10, game starts loading with no sound, and then it does not accept any controls, it reaches the main logo screen and says "Press [_]" (spacebar), and it stays there, I presses every key on the keyboard !!!

how is this possible?

tell me if anyone have any problems with any other EA titles. I played Need for Speed rivals this morning, which worked fine. Now when i wanted to play it now this afternoon, it is now doing the exact same thing as Hot Pursuit, But then it made me think, what about the other EA titles also bought recently and few others what i bought last few months. to my amazement, each one is not working, Tried plants vs zombie 2, star wars squadrons, star wars fallen order, star wars battlefront 2. not one wants to start.

I retried most of the things but nothing helps. But one thing i did write down before i closed the screen, was when i tried hot pursuit it gave me an error message ec10608 unable to find cloud save game, press play to continue or something in that lines. click continue or play or what ever, then messages closes and nothing else happens.

Anyone else having problems with their other EA games?

I also have NFS Heat but that is working just fine...so i dont know if its for all of EA's titles

No for me everything else works (Nfs heat, sims 4, etc). It's only this bloody game that acts stupid.
