Is the Remaster worth getting? (Update: I got the game. If you feel like sharing thoughts on how you like or dislike the game, I'll be glad to read and answer them)
I've had the original for a while, finished it only once years ago, it was fun. Only thing I really didn't like is the drifting-based handling (cars feeling like greasy bricks) which made avoiding traffic or zigzagging very awkward. I've always preferred the other way of driving in NFS games, but I guess there's such thing as getting used to drifting everywhere and master it (?)

Should I get what looks like a somewhat improved version of the original (now that's on sale,) or should I just reinstall it and play that one instead?

I'd rather play my ps3 version than this... at least there I can use a steering wheel.
I found this to be a major disappointment honestly.
edit; looks like it doesn't support the ps4 controller either

Depends. Go Remaster if wanting:
• a cross-platform multiplayer.
• all DLCs bundled in the base game.
• wrap/livery editor for racer vehicles.

Was it mostly the lack of Steering Wheel support? Or, in general it didn't suffice as a remaster?

I loved the original game on PS3 but never got the DLCs for it. Remastered plays very well, though I do notice some pop-in and pop-out with the traffic (which could be present in the original, I'm not sure, it's been so long). I have a DualSense connected to my PC over Bluetooth (nothing special, no DS4Windows or anything, just Steam, and no dongle either) and it works perfectly with Steam Input enabled. Online is very smooth as well, for an EA App game at least. I had one issue where the menu text was blurry when in borderless, but changing it to dedicated fullscreen and back to borderless fixed that.

As an NFS fan, less than $5 for this is a great deal, even having the original. Mods are being made for Remastered, including a restoration of the original high-quality textures, so it's well worth your money, especially since you can access the DLCs in Remastered.

Not natively, but you should be able to use Steam Input. That's how I'm able to use my DualSense with the game. At least it works here... NFS Unbound completely screws up the DualSense support, with or without Steam Input.

You'd think it would be at 4.49, but in my case I was wrong. You can't launch this ♥♥♥♥ without embracing origin into your heart.

Haloed are the Ori.

Edit: Finally got the crap to launch and ofc EA couldn't stop at that, you need to connect to there servers in order to play the damn single player game. Why? Why? Why?

How did it go after you launched? Was anything off?

So, I got it upon reading this. It's a 34 GB download, the original might have been around 15, but I'm not certain.

What did the DLCs have besides the Bugatti Veyron SS? I... never knew.

At least I didn't have much of a crappy time with that app, though, the game boots up muted, and I have to use Home button then return to have audio.

Another thing...

I found some mod that removes input lag. I'm not sure if that is even accepted in MP, but the cars feel... different. I'd say better, way more responsive.

I ran the EA launcher as administrator and it launched.

Yea, the audio is very clear, you're forced to verify through a server that either no longer exists or is being blocked.

When you hit okay it kicks you right out to the desktop.

Solved the issue, the game doesn't allow for vpn use, so refund it is. I don't remember this much bs with the other version so i'll try to play instead.
