How I got my G920 Wheel to work for NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered
INTRO:

This game does not have native wheel support. For the people like me who still want to use their steering wheel peripherals (G920/G29 for me specifically), here is a quick guide to how I made it as useable as possible and to minimise the deadzone issues people have with the wheel.

WHAT THE GAME COMES WITH:

1. So funnily enough, even though the game doesn't support wheels natively, it actually has force feedback (lol). I don't understand why FFB works with my wheel but they don't actively support wheels.

2. By default, there is a HUGE deadzone issue when you do connect your wheel and use it as 'Unknown Device'.

WHAT I DID TO USE THE WHEEL EFFECTIVELY:

1. Go into Logitech G Hub and set up a profile for NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered (add game profile then direct it to the exe file of NFS which is in your steam folder)

2. Set the degree of rotation to 180 (this reduces the dead zone MASSIVELY. after much trial and error, it is also the best setting for this game as you will see when drifting and trying to maintain/control the drift, you will need to flick the wheel left to right very quickly).

3. Set the wheel sensitivity to the maximum of 100 (this reduced the dead zone by a little bit more in addition to the degree of rotation.

4. Tick the box that says 'Combined Pedals' (this NEEDS to be ticked).

5. Go into the game > settings > gameplay settings > controls. Once you're here, change the peripheral to 'Unknown Device' and map everything to whatever controls you want with the wheel.

NOTE: You will still need to use the keyboard to navigate the menus. But racing and force feedback will now work during the races.

CONCLUSION

The above settings made the game actually playable for me with the wheel. Once you get used to the drifting, it's actually really fun and I now prefer playing with the wheel over the controller.

Enjoy!
