NO Steering Wheel Support!?
I am surprised to see that my g29 is not recognized by the game, while this same g29 is recognized by nfs hot poursuit on PS3

EDIT : The problem is Steam Input -> go to controller settings in steam and uncheck all

Did you do anything to deal with the dead zone issue?

I only get a slight deadzone on mine on the inner part of my steering but no i did not find anything to deal with that unfortunately. Are you having troubles with the inside or outside deadzone?
Broski Nov 7, 2020 @ 9:50am
Inside. Thats why i ended up resorting to x360ce for the original. I saw somewhere someone claimed that setting sensitivity to 180 or less fixed the deadzone, but im not holding my breath on that.

well as i said in my guide i believe, i personally set mine to 360 degrees which is a normal Xbox / Playstation Wheel Steering or at least for the older wheels like the Thrustmaster 458 Wheel and that works quite well. Have not tried 180 yet.

Does the wheel work or not? Mine is packed away and I would only get it out for this. By the time I get a reply I could just try I guess......

No, it can't be set up.

How am i playing with it then?

I followed your instructions, but I don't have the "unknown device".

I believe you have the G29 PC / XBOX, and my version (PC / PS3 / PS4) is unsupported.

G29 not working for me and setting it up as unknown device does nothing.

bit of a piss take because when this game come out originally we had to complain to get wheel support. When they did, it was great..the only game i went manual shift.

10 years gone and things are no better..thanks EA.

A racing game and people want wheel support? really...I am shocked. FFS

Good to know. I already own the original and was wondering why should a buy this remaster that looks exactly the same... now I know I shouldn't. No wheel support on a racing game.. what a joke.

I like the game actually...it is good enough to get again. Really annoying the wheel does not work. Keep complaining, get wheel support and it is worth it.

I love the original and I was inclined to buy the remaster.. but no wheel support is a deal breaker.

No mate the G29 is the PC / Playstation one. Make sure u have the software.

Still NO wheel support. I refunded the original some years ago because - no wheel support.

Saw remastered on it today. And damn it - lesson not learned. Arcade or not - controller SUX for a driving game.

Well another customer that won't be buying yet another product made by EA.

There's actually a lot of people here poking fun at people who want to play NFS HP with a wheel. They think it's stupid to play an arcade racer with a force feedback wheel.

My T-150 works with this game on the PC, of course you need to manually bind the controls and even then you will have to use your keyboard for some functions. Also you will have to go into the wheel properties in the software and adjust your wheel rotation to 180 degrees in order to shrink the dead zone. Its not as good as a controller but it will at least be playable.
