Time for a refund.
I use a racing wheel and the buttons don't have numbers, just positions on the wheel and i didn't know how to start a race either, until i remapped the controls for Option1/2 to keyboard, even though you can have a controller or racing wheel plugged in and still can use it, the keyboard offers extra options for inpukt.
Tried this, didn't make any difference for me and I noticed the up arrow key would work in other menus, just not when the option was start the race.
I also pressed every key on the keyboard and nothing would start the race. I got my refund and am enjoying NFS MW now anyways.
It's a conflict when you use the same key for action 1 (or action 2) and something else (handbrake or nitro for example, not matter what, something else which use the same key).
You need to use keys which are not used by something else, especially for action 1 and 2 rebinds (because they are the keys the game use to launch the race in the menu) to avoid any conflict.
After that, the controls will work and the race will begin when you will press the key.
