Food disappearing from dry rack

Me and my boys (5 of us in total) build our camp did some spear fishing because Kelvin the master fisherman was nerfed.

Filled 5 dry racks worth of fishes, went out to explore for a day and came back to half of the total fishes missing.

We suspect it was stolen by cannibals then we filled all the drying racks to the brim with fishes, saved and restarted the game.

Fishes gone, depression came.

Birds also steal food. Build a scarecrow.

Same thing happened to us. Drying rack indoors. Saved game, came back the next day and all fishies were gone. So def not birds stealing it since it was there when we saved and quit and gone immediately when we logged in the next day.

Raccoons can take fish off the rack from a distance, doesn't matter if you have walls/roof/door. My lake base, they'll take all the fish but not the meat. beach base, no raccoons and I never lose any fish.
