Copy and paste of the first forest game

I just feel like every mechanic of (The Forest 1) has been copied and pasted to the new Sons of the forest,even though there are some changes the game is basically the exact same as the first one.Give me your opinions on this subject.(PS this account doesn't have the game but i have played it if you're wondering.

Yes but i thought that they could add some new things to build and they also used the same buildable things from the first game that's a bit lazy don't you think?

Yeah man, I'm pretty disappointed by the state of this game... It seems extremely similar to the last one. I was hoping for combat upgrades, a dodge or something to make it different than the first. Also hoping for more crafting and more base building, but none of that has changed. In fact, it seems even more bare bones than the last game... I get that it's early access, but this game was supposed to release as a full release, and was just changed like a week ago. Devs messed up, they probably knew it was an early access game all along... It's basically the forest that looks better graphically. Even the map is very similar to the first game.

You clearly have the wrong game installed. There a very different mechanical changes. also, bro it's a SEQUEL. What did you expect? From the beginning the devs were transparent about what a sequel of the forest would be about lmao. It would be another "the forest" game like tf you mean b

Ya we all know what a sequel is... Tell me, what are the "different stuff"? Kelvin or whatever his name is, is a nice addition, but I feel like that is it... They basically had five or so years to make a new game, and this is what we have? It's pretty lame right now.

Why change what already worked so well and people loved? They kept everything as close as possible while also improving on numerous things. Graphics, UI, storage, AI, size and even the story are improvements as far as I am concerned. So yes, it may seem like a "copy and paste" and while normally this would be a negative thing. With this game it is a positive because the first game did so well, so why change it.

also. It's in EARLY ACCESS

For a sequel it's very similar to the first game. There are many sequels that offer and build upon the first game to make it even better. Right now, it feels like a downgrade from the first (which I just finished recently.)

And yes, it's early access, but it was supposed to be a full release a couple weeks ago - so the devs either knew it was always going to be early access, or they have a broken game, and decided last min to make it early access.

they did add a fair number of new things including an upgraded building system and being able to split the logs is also not something i remember being able to do in the first Forest game

It looks much better and gorgious compared to the original game

Just to name a few.

It definitely feels like a copy and paste for the most part. There's clearly just some game simps here who don't want to admit it for some reason, as if they have stock in the company.
