If it is the island in the lake, be warned that the lake freeze in winter allowing the locals to visit. On the bright side, you may want to use this opportunity to build a bridge.
Also, Kelvin might choose to live the rest of his life running circles at the bottom of the lake.
I tried an island in the sea in a corner of the map but the natives spawned on it while i was going for logs. there's a smaller island a little further i haven't tried yet but it's starting to get a little far from the trees to my taste.
Find the Grappling hook gun and create a zip line then you can run the logs down the zipline across. I know what island your on and i as well am building on the same island
