to the people summoning visitors
Just bow at the beginning, and at the end. Like, I get if you're in the middle of a fight when I join but when you get to a safe spot after I help kick it's ass... just a simple bow. Or even a wave. Just something, just some form of acknowledgement. I don't expect you to be super friendly, but when you act like I'm just a bot to help you then I'm simply going to leave. I'm due visitations so often because I like seeing familiar players so often that are really cool, and I remember those who treat visitors like their the same as summons. I just don't get it. IT COSTS YOU NOTHING TO TREAT YOUR VISITORS WITH A SEMBLANCE OF DECENCY.

And visitors, just leave if they act like you're a bot. You're choosing to help them and they don't even acknowledge you, they don't deserve help at that point.

Nah, they are there to play, and so are you. If they just want to jump into the combat, then so be it.

The only time I leave is when they want me to act like a baby sitter, when they run down every side section, stop to compare every item for an extended period, etc. Like I don't mind people stopping to check a rare drop occasionally, but when they are doing it for every encounter and white rarity items, that's when I dip out.

this ain't the old days of dark souls 14 years ago anymore where you'd emote to everyone you're playing with

it wastes a lot of time if you're just looking to get stuff done

Also make sure you're exclusively using fist or odachi. :^)

The summoned player wants to play the game too. If they are waiting around while you check every drop, then that is not happening.

Clear the level then check your loot.

and some times you need the loot in the level itself I can understand the whole checking every white thing, also ppl do this in a lot of games and normally its not a problem b/c they can move too look to WoW

Like I said...

If you are using odachis, and a top rarity odachi (for your playthrough) drops, then I am perfectly fine with you stopping to check it.

I am not okay with standing around for 5 to 10 minutes while you slowly check every single individual drop after every single encounter.

some times thats life and a lower rarity can work and nothing is truly stopping you to start running ahead a bit and killing things other than getting kicked and like you said you would leave so in all should not be a real problem

Running ahead and killing everything makes you just as bad.

It's coop, so you should be engaging in combat together. Making the other person stand around with nothing to do is bad form from either side.

yikes

It's not that simple. Acts of kindness release hormones in your body that make you happy, and so on.
In that sense, they summon you and give you the opportunity to trigger the release of these hormones. YOU should bow, and show more respect to them. Without them, you would just play alone, and depressed.

lol I never said do the whole run ahead of them unlike you who said dont look at anything for the whole run....
I get the idea of respect, and even though I would do it, I admit its cringey AF to expect it

To you:
1. Playing coop does not mean babysitting. Babysitting CAN be an issue for ones enjoyment. Do you expect others to clear your game for you?
2. As visitor, they cannot interact with doors or amrita bodies. They just drop and combat. If the host doesnot move, the mission does not progress. Then, why even play?
3. It is a problem to wait others. Check loot later. Still trying to figure out the way in the level? For me, I would bail. Unless I see them as really trying to figure it out by moving places. Passive play is a disrespect itself.

to you yea no ♥♥♥♥♥ I never said to babysit I said stop being a child over some one looking at something in the run :) you can go check yourself now
also I played a ton of darksouls and others like it I know about summons not being able to do much and have waited on others before thus why I say its not a problem, its not you ppl are just acting like man children for not speed running a level lol and also its actually disrespectful to try and take control over a hosts game b/c you want to speed run the map :) check yourself thanks
